Test Drive Unlimited Guide

For this I use a Logitech G25 with clutch and H-gate transmission is used. I remember some very early pictures of the G25 at the offices of Eden production, to multiple computers.

Really a great job of optimizing the wheel for the game. It makes driving the car, such a great experience when they are out of control. you can feel the gradual shifting of weight toward the front under braking, steering wheel when you can slide the tires on the edge of emotiontire grip, feel the rear wheel angle almost got off the ground or go very light (obviously depending on which way you turn.)

For most of the cars are fantastic, it's a bit 'a mix between arcade and simulation are good, while one could say that this is a short mild deficiencies. You can feel the car and drive to the edge of their limits of adhesion, very aware, this is what I like about them, because every car has a very special management is ideal for learning allcar features. Once the cars slip grip limit, usually it is, you spin and crash. You go to fight in a way and how it is to straighten the wheel by the end of the slide, it flicks back the other way, much like a violent swing.

Very lightweight cars like the TVR and Lotus. This can be very annoying. He feels the impact more in all small cars. With some of the heavier cars such as Aston Martin Vanquish, can stilla problem. Although less pronounced, after the car laterally and violent grasp the plug even throw in a dramatic turn.

A review of the Regal Greetings and Gifts

Regal Greetings and Gifts is a gift card Canadian company that was founded by William McCartney and his first-to-be-wife in 1928. McCartney had always been interested in making their own cards and he started by selling them through a small card company based in Toronto. Over time Regal Greetings and Gifts grew to form their own stores until 2005, when the company owners decided to restructure the company. Instead of bricks and mortar based, Regal is a catalog, and e-commercedirect sales company that makes its profits with the help of a base of independent sales representatives from across Canada.

Become a member of the Regal Greetings and Gift group can be done in two ways. It may be a member and order merchandise for your customer base (mostly colleagues, friends and family) through a single account for a merchandise discount. If you do not mind dealing with inventory, this is the best way for you to be a member of the Regalgroup. If you're looking to make money with Regal greetings and gifts, send a representative to an independent shop.

E 'rather than an independent representative with direct sales, Regal Greetings and Gifts. You can buy a couple of catalogs if you think that will help sales, but are not required to put down the money to work with the company. Instead you simply earn a discount of the goods you sell. This means that, depending on the monetaryamount of your order will receive a discount, which is maintained. It 'a little' how to earn a commission. You do not earn money for orders until the level of order is more than a hundred dollars.

Here's how it works. You talk to your customers and take their orders. Then he turns around and place orders with the company and the distribution of the goods when you receive it. If you sell between $ 100 and $ 449, you will receive a fifteen percent on the cost of your orderand you get the difference between $ 15 and $ 52.20 to keep. If you sell between $ 450 and $ 999 you get a twenty percent discount of the goods and you keep $ 129.80.

The good news is that once you are a member, you have the support of the Regal Greetings and Gifts company data. You can get the website and order assistance and training through the website. The company offers a Web site to learn how to sell, how to maintain unitycustomers, etc. The best part is that this company does not care about major contracts or recruit others to sell under you make.

If you live in Canada, this is a very simple possibility is supported by a reputable company. Depending on your commitment and sales skills you could end up very nice discount and earn a nice living being an Independent Direct Selling Representative. Whatever the decision that you want the best of luck.

The rule of 10,000 hours

I've always been fascinated by the extraordinary people, and what makes them who they are. He was born talent? It is the innate ability? And 'genius? There is something that the world experts and geniuses apart from ordinary people, ordinary people can not reach, no matter how hard they try?

A few months ago, I went to the library and there was a book that caught my attention, even if only in a black and white cover with a simple bronze star at the top rightcorner. It 'was the title that you have heard before, called outliers - Success Story - by Malcolm Gladwell. Before going to sleep yesterday, the book on my desk and I flipped through it, reading one of the most insightful chapters that I have a call while the rule of 10,000 hours.

The chapter describes the process of travel as an expert in the world. An expert in the world can be generally defined as someone who is well known for itsthe upper class, the best run in a way that separates them for all, especially in an age that no one expected.

For example, he talks about how the study was to compare the average student violinist, violist good students, to the best students of violin - students who had the potential to be world-class soloists.

At age five, the students practiced around 2-3 hours a week, about 20-30 minutes a day. Theage of eight, while the average for good students are always around the same pace, the best started to excel, playing six hours a week at the age of nine years, about 45 minutes a day. Then they started playing 8 hours a week, twelve years, about 1 hour, 16 hours a week every two years, about two hours a day, and the age of twenty, have been saving 30 hours per week, about 4 hours a day, just playing a musical instrument.

It's going to talk about the Beatles, perhaps one ofthe best rock bands in history. It tells the story of how, before coming to the United States that have already played together for seven years. This was a period where they started as a band in high school in a popular band to the public. But it all started with a fortunate opportunity through connections to random people who put them there to play in London for companies in Germany strips.

For example, it was in Liverpool, London, the Beatles or just aone-hour sessions for the public, but in Hamburg, Germany, had much to play for 8 hour sessions, seven nights a week. They are usually around 5-6 hours a night, but on stage every day. Before going to America, had already lived about twelve hundred times - more than many bands on stage in their careers.

The chapter continues to present the richest person on the planet today - Bill Gates. How did a software program tothat almost every person on the planet who owns a computer - Windows - is a form of genius work, but an incredible amount of work to go at that point.

Bill had the opportunity to learn programming on a system of computer time-sharing in class 8th, something most Americans do Have access to did here in this moment that around Was the 1960's later, it was Invented for use.

During a period of seven months, as high school student, Bill Averageeight hours a day, seven days a week in the computer room. Everything he did was, the program and the program was his obsession. There was the night went on the weekend, and it would be a rare occasion when he and his friends for 20 or 30 hours per week.

Between 8 th grade and the end of his high school years, these five years experience with planning for a terminal time-sharing his experience working in offices C-Cubed, who had experienceWorking at a computer center at the University of Washington for the ISI (Information Sciences Inc.) operating at 3.6 times in the morning, and had experience working for a technology company TRW as a programmer.

People who feel that those who deliberately drops Harvard was crazy, but people who know exactly what kind of decisions they are doing. They know something that millions of people do not know. Then, when Bill retired as Harvard andsophomore, had been planning nonstop for seven years. Saying that he does not trust his own software company to launch his passion all my life, instead of studying in school, something that would be crazy not to do for a person like him.

And what is best violinists in the world, the Beatles and Bill Gates have in common? Yes, I'm the best at what they do, are famous, and most of the time, they are rich, but for a reason. These people spend hoursOperating from an early age, and when in the early twenties, who have accumulated a period of time people That the practice never even closer - 10,000 hours.

This is the number that experts say is necessary to achieve true mastery. And all these people have used a happy opportunity for them to be or create their own opportunities through endless practice - something that at first glance you will not know untilhave shown their talent.

What can we learn the 10,000 rule? It teaches us that if we are the best at something, on top of our game, not a special talent. It 'about the introduction of hours until the practice is something that only a part of us.

And even though we are in an age when we think it is too late, it's really never too old to learn something new or become very good at something. All the people began to take overthirty minutes a day to do something, which increased to an hour a day, then two hours a day, and so on.

Composers such as Mozart, for legendary players such as Bobby Fischer, did not begin as a brilliant genius. They took about 10 years 10,000 hours to become what they are. Studies show that there is no evidence that "genius" Most of us think are born with a spell, innate talent. I'm just a lot of practice, much, much more than anyone does the same thingthing.

A normal person can see when someone is an expert "out of range", but one expert sees an ordinary person, and knows exactly how much work they are put where they are. So I guess the question is, who wants "the best", who wants to be a guru, a teacher, an expert on high, are willing to seriously the commitment, work and training, all this accumulated approximately 10,000 hours of practice Above the best, genius next?

The decision, part 1 of 2

What is selling? Think about this question for a moment. I think about this very issue. I am often in situations where I am working with the vendors just to see what happens. I saw a vendor selling concept impacts its success. two different situations in my mind.

I recently purchased a subscription to a gym. Eventually I spoke with the seller and sales consulting business I do. He said that I do not thinkitself as a seller and how to sell gym memberships, because "it works really well, and is not like selling used cars." A friend of mine, a successful salesperson, echoed a sentiment similar to dinner one evening. He told me he did not feel that he is still a seller because he is not "pushed" things to people.

I had many conversations over the years in terms of sales, but I found these two particularly touching because it characterizes a givencommon problem in the profession of sales. Despite their descriptions on the contrary, "These two people are on sale-a-new profession for her and the other a veteran successful. Unfortunately, both associated with the push of marketing. When I consult with the sellers tell them that if they want to sell, they're probably doing something wrong. No matter how successful a company or an engagement with sales experience, are still hampered by what many people, includingtheir suppliers, plans to sell: solutions to overcome the unintended responses to an unsuspecting public.

I will be introducing a new concept of sale of this process is called decision. Wat will explain the decision process, as this process differs from the way most organizations to manage the sale of the selling process, and because a decision will be you and your company with the greatest leverage for improving sales results.

WHAT 'Selling?

Back to our question: what is selling? We define the sale, such as the professional process that allows two or more parties to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. There are three main components of this definition. First, the sale is a process. This is a series of actions, not just an act. The second process results in something that is mutually beneficial to stakeholders. Or a "win-win or No Deal. Third, the process is professionallyThis means that it meets certain standards. This does not mean that there is no room for individuality and creativity, but that the discipline process. It 'a crucial business decision clearly articulated for vendors and customers, with the ability to monitor the progress of both the seller and buyer of the document. And 'the third part of the definition that most of the sales force is weakest and where the most dramatic improvements for better results can bedone.

Tom Hopkins, Brian Tracy and Zig Ziglar (and other proponents of the "old school" sales) is about seven or so stages of a sales process. Since most of these processes have been designed from the perspective of one supplier, not effectively tackle the level of sophistication that exists today with buyers. Consequently, the value of these processes is limited sale, and why not take account of the buyer, whichinfamous for creating the feeling of "push" discussed at the beginning of this article.

If the information was for the entire period that Alvin Toffler refers to the third wave, the interest of many traditional selling processes reduced. new schools for future sales. One turned the old school of thought on its head by a lawyer buying process that aligns the points of sale with the considerations of a client. Neil Rackham's SPIN Selling program and MichaelBosworth's book, the solution is sold, they represent this school. Although the offer of the buyer in a more structured and disciplined, yet looked only in terms of sales of a party. This approach is still too one-sided distortion of the fire of the seller, and leads to optimal performance.

The U.S. decision. SALES / purchasing processes

The decision is a professional sales process for buyers and sellers who are authorizedsuppliers are creators of value and not only the value of communications, enables enterprises to improve their best results, and produce win-win results. The decision is different from "sell" or "buy" processes in different ways. It provides a method for distinguishing potential customers with a far more accurate than traditional methods provide. decision making, properly applied, will transform your pipeline of a mystery opaque to a transparent and accurateforecasting tool. And since the decision is partly based on the logical progression of decisions by the buyer passes, serves as a guide for the vendor.

Traditional methods are often selling for as potential customers, until the prospect of buying something, to what extent are the customers. The approach of the "prospect / customer 'is a binary system and makes little or no distinction between a prospect that has just begun the procurement process and an approach to a decision, not distinguish between potential customers more willing to buy and those who do not. If the sales department views their activities with a prospect / customer pipeline approach is not transparent, the biggest challenge for the management of an effective business development effort.

To remedy this, many sales departments have added some form of fences around their process pipeline. This outlook leads them to classify based on where the "sale"process or "buying process". Although these systems offer a fencing improvement of binary systems, have the structure necessary for effective results to your best. The decision allows the seller to know with greater clarity and confidence that the next action and when it should be a good time to ask for the sale. This leads to faster times and more pipelines margins because the price concessions are no longer needed as the poorcommunication.

MAPPING your decision

There are activities that could be taken would be more sustainable service advantage for your sales effort to trace a decision for the company. This means identifying, formulating and documenting the various stages to go through your sales as they use your products or services and does the same for your clients through the phases in which to analyze these products and services and makethe decision to buy or not. Moreover, the enumeration of these steps in the order they occur. The simple act of documenting the stages will have a dramatic increase in productivity of your sales efforts and time to form a new successful reduction seller.

It is necessary to articulate this process, which will one of the most difficult tasks you undertake in your business. If not, you're probably doing something wrong. But the creation ofthe board is crucial for the long-term health of your sales efforts.

If you want the process a bit 'less painful and more efficient, Imagine Consulting is available to help. Call or e-mail. The decision fully corresponds to the definition of sale, provided that at the beginning of this article, a professional placement process, both parties agree mutually beneficial, win-win or No Deal. It 'important to note that no mentionsemantics here. the decision is not just a facade for the sale of traditional systems. It 'a paradigm shift. Means looking to sell both buyers and sellers perspectives'. This means that the management of the sales cycle in a disciplined manner. decision making is the core of the third wave of selling. This is a unique sales system that is positioned to face the challenges of commercialization of the economy now has to fight. You create value not only forsale of businesses, but also for buyers.

"A Romance in Augsburg" (potato fields and the Cemetery) Chapters: 6-7

The striker should always be a bit 'stretched, many high-ranking officials from the gate - do not really care, but many of the police have taken security: a matter of fact, now that I think, this is because Flattery our platoon sergeant, SFC has never been around at that time, early in the morning ....

The pain of drinking the night before only a slowdown in the morning - a good couple of hours, but there would always be our goalback, and mine was coming.

I tried to pay close attention to cars on arrival, they enjoyed their eyes when you pulled the driver's eyes and knew then everything was good. I had a ticket when a signal is neglected. And you and I - both of us wanted the other distractions, went to work and I worked. I suppose I could ski, and we said very little, he could reach me after playing.

Sometimes I feel soI drank too much the night before limping to work the next day and had to pay someone to take my turn. And in the end I take them from an evening service at another time, I would draw from other plans a bit, 'but this is how things work I guess. I had a ten-hour shift today. The matter-of-fact that I have all week. But I will get three days pretty simple, no bed to check it later. No checks read more ... Thank God

The cars were beginning to grass, so I lit a cigarette, a shiveringbit 'to breeze along in the wind of March was very cool. Conversations were far and in-between on this port, was the main entrance, and unlike the others, at the end of this a bit more ', the military large compound: where you could talk a lot with loops .

I found the streets over the First World War [WWI] Reese Kasarine left whole [the military]. My motor functions were now on the mend - my eyes looked bigger ... moresober.

*

Took place in a fine day, the temperature seems to be right only with a warm glow of a morning wind-interest of comfort, rather than in the north in the far corner behind the door was a vacant lot along the side of yard, where a large rock rested, had an inscription with the words "In commemoration of the Battle of Chickamauga," someone told me that a battle of the Civil War, a bloody this. I have some control inday, I told myself. I have found - often times, the protagonist on that rock, day after day, it seemed strange way across the Atlantic, you know, the fight was much more than in America, not here, I think in Virginia, 1861 .

The only thing I do not like about this team was morning I had the flag. Not that a lot of work, but if dropped, may be grounds for military madness. And I do not care to rock the boat. In addition, I began to Germanywith its many festivals, it seemed as if there was a hand all the time in this environment, and simple, there was very little to go on this side of the road, blocking the connection. Or in the afternoon. It was not so great, but had a large beer tent, as they call it here, and that's all that really matter or that matter, what most worries IG. All these contributions were huge beer tents, each of them.

You could see the children, mothers andall fathers take their hats in search of Robin Hood, some were dressed in trousers and an old German style - yes, a good assortment of people who were there. I found, if not for the beer to the house of life has brought my memories, my body. Just felt right. E 'was actively under way two weeks and it would take a week, I was there three times, was thinking of going again, perhaps next weekend - maybe.

As I took my lunch break in mostthe guard and that was a part of the barracks adjacent to the road, and on the side of the street gate structure - where a window was, I had my eye on both windows paperwork that German cars drive by - not like back home in which a variety of cars such as Ford, Dodge, Chevrolet, etc. .. to see there was a great truth here to testify, I also checked the side window, my partner waved the cars through - then back to my paperwork, monitoring andmarking the records of my control charts, and insurance were in order, I guarantee the trucks and other vehicles in the morning I checked in the right places - very rarely I ever for some of smuggling, and today, there is nothing of the ordinary to report. There was a standing metal ashtray through the side window, I sat down and turned the radio on my pencil sharp and full of check marks in the appropriate boxes indicating no unusual trafficand had a cigarette.

I started thinking about Chris, I felt it was a bit 'prepared for my emotional charm and candor, I think that all men are needed to present: emotional support. It seems to work, earn money just like us men to be frank, they did better than me.

He seemed sincere for the most part. She was a German jew, he said, and his father was killed just before the desert to escape the Nazi occupation of theirso-called homeland of World War II [WWII]. I think some members of the SS - Hitler's Elite that is - came to the studio of his father in his room [library] was a kind teacher, and her mother took her when she was a child in 1945, I think she was just a year age at the time, and the Germans took the SS - that was the last he ever heard of or about him. Chris told me his mother and hid behind the sofa and tried to pull them out, and I thinkdone.

He was never seen again, as I said, and I think that the mother took her to London, England, until after the war, when they returned and reclaimed their property. It was a little 'cautious letting me know that he was not sure why a Jew, I think I grew up in Minnesota, I never thought so many nationalities, as a barrier. He looked at my comment at this time I think. And they did it quickly. I was afraid if he wanted to go with them, soif he was afraid that if I wanted to go with a jew. I suppose her to be more educated than they at first made me pick up, but that was history.

"Remember that you have a couple of hours left on your disk, PFC Evens," said Sergeant First Class flattery.

"Yaw sergeant, just thinking about a girl who I met Chris."

"Well, you raise your head in paper work, and eat, you still have some 'time before retirement .... right?"

"Right."

"Well - ah, asshe was - "

"Chris ...."

"If this is his name -"

. "Yes, yes you are, something special, I think, -. Not used to date in a little '

"Ah, I told you so?"

"No, sar-g ..." I said soothingly: "It 's great."

The sergeant came out, probably would have gone home, he lived off base with his family, was a kind of good guy, a bit 'slow at times, made E-7 [SFC], which is a good location, but see some of the other sergeants around, but he had moreher class. It took him 18 years and a half of his rank have to do, I think it normally takes only about 10 to 12-years old, who was about to retire in a year and a half we had said to the guard. He took everything with a calm that I never knew, something I'd like to inheritance, I have said many times, I always seemed eager, almost hyperventilating in the next step you might say.

Chris had told me at home tonight how she was interested in me, on the one hand, but I think she wanted her cake and eat it, because she was with another man, a German, he said, and had to let me know the reasons for your money, but his rent paid some cats rich. I wanted to forget and just go on with life, but I pretended it was not great. I had nothing to lose, plus I really had nothing going for me here anyway. And somewhere along the line, we can address this problem if it came later, when is any form of continuous developmentrelationship with me that a sexual friendship.

It was 16:45, Chris drove through the door of the gate, I walked out with my uniform, leaned out the open window, "Ant funny men," she smiled at me, or was it self, had a nice green Mustang, is like the sun shinned reflects its hood.

"Fifteen minutes early," I said.

"I know," she said, "I've wanted in your uniform, you look good - delicious"

"Come, Italk to you ... "

There was a crack in the side of his eye, not sure what it was.

"Wait."

"Joe," I said, my friend who was a corporal on duty that '... Now you can move, I feel Chris is a bit 'of despair? "

"Sure - go."

I quickly dressed in civilian clothes and ran out to see Chris, got into the car to ask "What's wrong?" Hurried away and parked where it was taken over by a manager of a pizzeria pub / guest house, which werea few blocks west of the base.

"I called London, I lost $ 50,000 dollars last night, the dollar went down and the brand has risen. My life savings into it. I was up early this morning and called to see if they would return but without good luck. "

"Wow ... sorry ----$ 50,000!" I really do not know how to comfort her, I never heard of such a sum of money. I felt it was my turn, but the tears were real enough. I was not sure how a woman with a consolepain - pain money, it seemed almost like a death in the family, just leaned over and hugged me. I could not say a word - I was frozen with stupidity.

He said:

"Blast, I'll be fine," get his breath.

"Frazier is fighting a guy by the name of Ellis," I noticed a new tone in the dialogue to create.

Chris looked at me weird, I think they got a message that I was not capable of this amount was to swallow, butWe knew it sounded impressive. Perhaps this was what she comforted if anything. It took me a minute to find out what happened, and more believe it.

"Who is Frazier?" he asked.

"Only a boxer, I heard on the radio today. 'A pretty difficult, however, as the clay."

I think you could say I was a bit '- if not - no matter the situation, his nerves seemed to settle, and the silence of the moment seemed to suggest the spell of sadness wasbroken.

Maybe all they had to do was tell someone not because it was not so different from her boyfriend, but I did not take it, it is not necessary, as she tried to impress with some technique, and the way to the top of the problem has been stopped . If true, it seemed dumb to believe, and perhaps this has had a good effect too. I often think of those stupid chopper, were, if they are dead. Maybe that's how he thought it was.

I am not very old, but Ibit 'of life I have noticed a profound thing, and this is a man or a woman can stop most of all bad habits, like smoking or drinking or gambling, you know, things like that ... also collect your ass if needed, can be arrested, but, and this is a great - but try to stop or tell someone to quit to get married, or a long relationship, dating - they will tell you where to go, and go to find someone else to report. I learned at a young age, I was veryreplaceable with women, and the prettiest I am, you can replace the first.

I knew the moment was gone, but still not sure what to say, then taking meticulous care I raised my voice, I managed to reach a final [a bit 'of humiliation] to get, "I'm sorry that I can help you" do not know what to say, $ 50,000 dollars is a lot of money. I'm sorry for your loss. "

He felt I did not feel qualified to go further. She would rather be left alone, but felt there wasempty yet in sight.

Repeating a phrase that previously had done, he added, "It 's just a bad day, I can not do anything."

Unexpectedly, a tense face appeared above her and a tear rolled down her cheek as if it could reach almost to my shoulder.

"I am a German jew, you know?" He told me if I did not know already told me last night.

"Yaw, I know that Chris ..." adding, "not sure what that means, I am an American-Russian, with alittle Irish in me, "he tried to suppress a smile, but came anyway - ☻

Somehow the dark cloud that was developing disappeared. And a pink color came to her bronze face, with a slight smile that she still loses.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"The thought that I do around the city, and the cemetery, my grandmother was buried, and I want to go find it."

"Sure, come on," I said, when his car began backing up.

As she pushed me startedmakes the Volkswagen through the city, and the lights hung on wires instead of the poles, like coming home in St. Paul, Minnesota, I also noticed that the clock overlooking the city and the old police station, the ASM, with its high-style architecture.

"Look left," says Chris, "the Rathaus, the town hall was once the largest in Europe. 'Was built in 1620 AD."

I nodded my head and eyebrows went up as if hit - but I had not seenfirst, not knowing what the nine-story structure was different from a large building that looked like hundreds of years, and the beautiful fountain on the other side of it. I sat on the outside edge with some of my fellow GI.

Augusta was a military camp, I had learned during the year 1915 BC, built by Emperor Augustus. Funny, it was today, which is a military town, but with American soldiers. When I arrived in Augsburg during a briefing at the station, thiswas carried out. It 'was a beautiful city, and old. I had always hoped to get a place so old, with cultural and historical significance, and here I was, a wish come true.

The potato fields

Cemetery

We lay in the process of leaving the city limits, and as soon as we left, Chris pulled the car on the side of the road, looking at a number of potato fields, said:

"Well, let's go to the people?"

He started to walk to atower.

"By the way," I said, "... Who are the people?"

I followed behind her as she got out and walked in the semi-wet, a bit 'dusty and dirty Lumpy said

"I'm here, yes, I think, I think ..." hesitated, "... the sky is so blue, it's not going to rain - are potato pickers Chick ..."

I looked around and saw several women taking or plant potatoes, maybe both, everything seemed strange to me because they wereare we here? I was wondering, but it was as comforting as it was strange. She said she had one hand easy and commonplace to her as I do. We stayed in the middle of the field for a minute or two, in silence. There was something about this woman that I found very funny. Since she had told me that he was a Jew, and the tragedy of his family, I had an interest in her a little 'more or so it seemed - his openness was refreshing. However, I found we had a great band is growing, but they have something in commoncan not name, and certainly not because I felt that way, had more than me, but I suspect that it was the spring, you know, timing can be an important part to play in any event, I said against me, my impulsiveness, that is, "I hay, far from enthusiastic about the fact that a second date that I dealt with its bad news." I added, "... hay me, I'm proud." And he told me that was growing.

"What is the tower?" I asked.

It 'was like a guard tower in the middle of potato fields. Older women wereplanting and harvesting the potatoes around us - more than I had before anyway, Chris completed the towers,

"... I am the boss to see what is happening in his field, he leaves a rose."

The Truth About Australian Rugby Today

Lets look at The Players.

During my career playing at the elite level I was fortunate to have played 7 years as an amateur and 5 years as a professional, I can honestly say that the most enjoyable years were prior to 1996 (professionalism). I had to hold down a job whilst striving to compete at the highest level, having to mix both playing and working was a challenge however put me in good stead for my future career after Rugby. I know modern rugby players are encouraged to participate in studies to prepare them for post pro sport I only hope they make the most of that opportunity.

What has occurred since '96 is that players seem to care more of their own well being more so than for the game itself. This attitude is driving rugby at the grass roots level to the wall. I applaud Robbie Deans initiative to send the Wallabies back to club football when not competing on the international level however it is the demands of the players many who are earning in excess of $250K/annum who are squeezing an extra $6 to $20K out of clubs. I believe this money should be used to prop up our next tier of players, clubs are in a catch 22. Contracted Super and International players attract new recruits to clubs however it comes at a financial cost which could be used to progress the club as a whole. It will be a brave administrator who is willing to make the decision and put the emphasis on the club spirit prevailing over cameo performances of the international players appearing around finals time.

The Unions

The ARU blew a tremendous opportunity to build a middle tier level of rugby between club and Super rugby. Two seasons ago the ARU introduced a National competition which lasted one season, it was a concept which the code needs if we are to stave off the other winter codes all of which appear to be swelling their numbers at all levels, I would suggest at rugby peril. It was well publicised the funds were poorly administered and with the correct administration the competition has tremendous merit if we are going to continue to be a dominant code.

The Supporters

Since the introduction of professional rugby in 1996 I believe it has been the supporters who have been dealt the worst hand not only through inflated ticket prices at the gate but even more frustrating is the lack of exposure to the professional game. With the introduction of professionalism came the introduction of 'user pays'.

I was a player in the formative years of professionalism and whilst I loved the fact that I was about to be payed for what I had been doing for the best part of 28 years for free, I was naive to the what it would actually mean to the average punter. As a result of the introduction of money into our game, free to air coverage of non test rugby has vanished from our TV with the exception of club rugby at 3pm on a Saturday thanks to the ABC, this has been on going for decades, I love it, however, due to time slot it has a limited market. The uptake of pay TV in Australia is approximately 30% of households as a result exposure to the top level of rugby is limited, this makes it very difficult to know the form and personalities of the team you follow let alone the opposition players and playing style. As a result of these factors it makes it difficult to bring new supporters to our game let alone keep the ones we have. I believe the ARU needs to address this if it is to retain a place as a power sports in the Australian winter.

Rugby in Australia will get a tremendous boost again next year with the coming of the World Cup however it is the years between this event which we need to increase our exposure to the masses otherwise we will find ourselves a second tier sport in the not too distant future and at that point the spoils will not be there to be enjoyed by anyone.

Lennox China - The Dinnerware of Presidents

Lenox was started in 1889 by its founder Walter Scott Lennox. Born in Trenton NJ in 1859, the foremost center for the American Ceramics industry in that time, Walter Lennox combined his interest in drawing and clay and began working at a pottery plant as a designer and decorator at 16 years old.

When he turned 22 he became joined Ott & Brewer as their design director. Ott & Brewer eventually folded a few years later and that's when he decided it was time to go it on his own.

A mere seven years after taking the design director position Walter Lennox was starting his own company the Lenox's Ceramic Art Company opening it's doors in 1889. Walter created his ceramics as an art and even positioned his new company as an Art Studio instead of a factory. Most of his early productions were one-of-a-kind made of ivory china.

The Lenox China was originally made buy only 18 employees and consisted of a line of vases, pitchers and tea sets. Since he had laid the groundwork for his productions to be consider art they were picked up by the most elite shops of the time. In 1897 even the Smithsonian Institution showed a collection of Lennox China.

In the early 1900's fine home dining came into vague and Lennox was quick to transition his company to handle the new dinnerware needs of the country. He began offering full sets of dinnerware to very exclusive families in early 1902, fighting the European control over the fine china trade.

As America's demand for Lennox China continued to grow he changed the name of the company to Lenox Incorporated to reflect his reversal of philosophy from the Ceramic Art Company to more of a mass production company.

The company's first large scale productions of Lennox China came in 1910 and were patterned with transfer prints that were then colored by hand. In 1917 Lennox China went to full color lithographic designs. The original two designs, Mandarin and Ming, were popular in America for over 50 years. These decals made sure every piece of dinnerware was decorated exactly the same and created a type of trademark look. Hosts were excited to have the new patterns on their dinner table that were easy to recognize so their guests knew they could afford Lennox China.

Lennox was becoming known as the china to have in the United States. In 1918 the white house ordered 1,700 pieces for official state services. Lennox China was the first American china to be used at the white house and has remained that way since.

Walter Scott Lennox dies in 1920 having succeeded in his quest for "perfection of American porcelain."

"A Romance in Augsburg" (Potato Fields and the Cemetery) Chapters: 6 thru 7

The rush hour would always be a little tense, many high ranking officers coming through the gate, --it really didn't bother me, but a lot of the other security police it did bother: matter-of-fact now that I think of it, that is why SFC Flattery our platoon sergeant never was around at that particular time, in the early part of the morning....

The pain of drinking the evening before simply slows one down in the morning--for a few hours anyway, but we'd always get our focus back, and mine was coming.

I tried to pay close attention to the incoming cars, they liked it when you caught their eyes the driver's eyes, and then they knew all was well. I could give them a ticket if they overlooked a signal. And they and I--both of us, wanted to offer the other as little distraction as possible, they were going to work, and I was working. I suppose Ski knew this, and that is why he said very little, he could play catch-up with me later.

Sometimes I'd get so drunk the night before I'd be too lame to work the next day, and had to pay someone to take my shift. And end up taking an evening shift for them at another time, it would tie me up from other plans somewhat, but that's the way things work I guess. I had a ten-hour shift today. Matter-of-fact I have it all week. But I will get three days off straight, with no bed check, thereafter. No more bed checks...thank God.

The cars now were starting to weed out, so I lit a cigarette, shivering a little from the light breeze passing by, the March wind was very cool. Conversations were far and in-between at this gate, it was the main gate, and not like the other one at the other end of this somewhat, large, military compound: there you could talk a lot with passersby.

I liked the cobblestone streets left over from World War One [WWI] throughout Reese Kasarine [military complex]. My motor functions were improving now, -- my eyes seemed wider ... becoming sober.

٭

It was turning out to be a fine day; the temperature seemed to be just right with a light luke-warm-breeze making an interesting morning of comfort; over to the far northern corner beyond the gate there was an empty lot along the side by the flag pole where a huge rock rested, it had an inscription that read 'In memory of the Battle of Chickamauga,' someone told me it was some great Civil War battle, a bloody one at that. I'll have to check that out some day, I told myself. I found for myself--often times, starring at that rock, day after day, it was strange seeing it way on the other side of the Atlantic, you know, the battle was way over in America, not here -I think in Virginia, 1861.

The only thing I didn't like about this morning shift was I had to raise the flag. Not that it was a lot of work, but if you dropped it, it could be grounds for military madness. And I didn't care to rock the boat. Plus I was starting to like Germany with its many festivals; it seemed like there was one going on all the time in this vicinity, and straightforward, there was one going on this very minute across the street, up the block from the compound. Or it will be this afternoon. It wasn't real big, but it had a huge beer tent, as they called it here, and that is all I really cared about, or for what it is worth, what most GI's cared about. All these fairs had huge beer tents, every one of them.

You could see kids, mothers, and fathers all wearing their Robin Hood looking hats; some were dressed in old German style pants and dresses, --yes, a good assortment of people were there. I liked it if not for the beer, for the home life it brought back into my memories, my body. It just felt good. It had been active going on two weeks and it would last one more week, I had been there three times, I figured I'd go there one more time: perhaps this coming weekend--possibly.

As I took my lunch break in the larger part of the guardhouse which was a part of the barracks adjacent to the city street, and to the side of the gate way to the facility--where a window was, I did my paperwork looking out of both windows watching German made cars drive by--not like back home where you would see a variety of cars like Fords, Dodges, Chevy's, etc... there was not a great verity here to witness; I also checked out the side window were my partner waved the cars on through--then back to my paperwork, and checking and marking the documentation on my inspection sheets, and insuring they were in order, insuring I marked the trucks, and other vehicles I had inspected in the morning in the proper places, --very seldom did I ever find any contraband, and for today, there really was nothing out of the ordinary to report. There was a stand up metal ashtray by the side window, I sat down turned the radio off and sharpened my pencil and filled in with check marks in the proper boxes indicating no unusual traffic, and had a cigarette.

I was starting to think about Chris, I felt she was somewhat drawn into my emotional charms and frankness, I think that is all men are needed for nowadays anyways: emotional support. It seems they work, make money just like us men; to be blunt, she was doing better than me.

She seemed to be genuine for the most part. She was a German-Jew, she had told me, and her father was killed just prior to the Nazi's deserting and escaping the occupation of their so-called Motherland, of World War Two [WWII]. I guess a number of SS men--Hitler's Elite that is, --came into her father's study room [library], he was some kind of professor, and her mother grabbed her as she was a child then in 1945, I guess she was only a year old at the time, and the SS Germans took him: --that was the last they had ever heard from, or of him. Chris had told me her mother and she hid behind a sofa chair and he tried to draw them away from them, and I guess he did.

He was never seen of again, as I have just mentioned, and I guess her mother took her to London, England, until after the war when they returned and reclaimed their property. She was a little careful about letting me know she was a Jew, not sure why, I guess being brought up in Minnesota, I never thought much of nationalities as a barrier. She was watching my response now that I think of it. And she got it out quick. I was worried if she'd want to go back out with a private, as much as she was worried if I'd want to go out with a Jew. I suppose her being more educated than I at first glance made me pull back a little, but that was past.

"Remember you got a few more hours left on your station, PFC Evens," said Sergeant First Class Flattery.

"Yaw sergeant, just thinking about a gal I met, Chris."

"Well you get your head back into the paperwork, and eat, you still got a little time yet before you're off duty.... Right?"

"Right."

"Well--ah, how was she--"

"Chris...."

"If that's her name--"

"Yes, yes. That's her, something special, I think, --not used to dating in a while."

"Ah! Have I got to tell you?"

"No sar-g..." I said soothingly "it's great."

The Sergeant walked outside, he most likely was going home, he lived off base with his family; he was a nice sort of guy, a little slow at times, he made E-7 [SFC], which is a good rank, yet some of the other sergeants made fun of him, but he had more class than they. It took him 18 ½ years to make his rank though, I guess normally it should take only about 10 to 12-years; he was about to retire in a year and a half he had told us at the guardhouse. He took everything with a calmness I never knew, something I'd like to inherit I told myself many times, I was always anxious it seemed, almost hyperventilating to get to the next step one might say.

Chris had told me on the way home last night she was interested in me, on one hand, but I think she wanted her cake and eat it to, for she was going with another man, a German she said, and had to let me know it was for money reasons, he paid her rent, some rich cat. I wanted to say forget it, and just go on with life, but I pretended it was no big thing. I had nothing to lose, plus I really did not have anything going for me here anyhow. And somewhere along the line, we could deal with that issue if it came up later, if she intended to develop any kind of ongoing relationship with me beyond a sexual-friendship.

It was 4:45 PM, Chris drove up by the gate door, as I walked outside with my uniform on, she leaned over with the window open, "Ant men funny," she chuckled at me, or was it herself, she had a nice looking green Mustang, it shinned as the sun bounced off her hood.

"Fifteen minutes early," I said.

"I know," she replied, "I wanted to see you in your uniform, you look good--delicious!"

"Come please, I need to talk to you..."

There was a tear in the side of her eye, not sure what it was for.

"Wait a minute."

"Joe," I said, my corporal friend who was on duty next, "...can you take the shift now, I sense Chris is in a little despair?"

"Sure--go."

I quickly dressed into civilian cloths and rushed out to see Chris, got into her car asking, "What's the trouble?" She drove off quickly and parked over by where she was a manager of a pizza café/guesthouse, which were several blocks west of the base.

"I called London, I lost $50,000 dollars, last night, the dollar went down and the mark went up. I had my life savings in it. I was up early this morning and been calling to see if it would go back up, but no luck."

"Wow... sorry, ----$50,000!" I really didn't know how to go about comforting her, I never heard of such an amount of money. I felt she was putting me on, but the tears were real enough. I was not sure how to console a woman with such grief--money grief, it almost looked as if it was a death in the family; she leaned over and just hugged me. I couldn't say a word--I was frozen with stupidity.

She then said:

"Let's skip it, I'll be alright," getting her breath back.

"Frazier's going to fight some guy by the name of Ellis," I commented, to create a new tone in the dialogue.

Chris looked at me strange, I think she got a message I was not able to digest that amount of money she was talking about, but it sounded impressive she knew that. Maybe that was what consoled her if anything. It took me another minute to know what had happened, and several more to believe it.

"Who's Frazier?" she asked.

"Just a boxer, I heard it on the radio today. He's a pretty tough one though, like Clay."

I guess one might say I seemed a little--if not a lot--indifferent to her situation, her nerves seemed to settle down though, and the silence of the moment seemed to suggest the spell of grief was broken.

Maybe all she needed to do was tell someone, not sure why it wasn't that other boyfriend of hers, but I didn't bring it up, no need to, if she was trying to impress with whatever technique, the route and problem to its summit was stopped. If it was true, I looked dumb to it I suppose, and that may have had a good effect also. I often think people who are dumb are cleaver, they got to be, or they are dead. Maybe that is how she thought I was.

I am not very old, but in my little life span I've noticed one deep rooted thing, and that is a man or a woman can stop most any bad habit, like smoking, or drinking or gambling, you know, those kinds of things...even picking your ass, if need be can be stopped, but, and this is a big--BUT, try and stop, or tell someone to stop getting married, or having an ongoing relationship, dating, --they will tell you where to go, and go find another person to have the relationship with. I learned at a young age, I was very replaceable with women, and the prettier they are, the quicker they can replace you.

I knew the moment was gone, still not sure what to say though, then taking meticulous care I increased my voice, I managed to get a final [a little humiliation], "I'm sorry I can't help you, I'm not sure what to say, $50,000 dollars is a lot of money. I'm sorry for your loss."

She sensed I did not feel qualified to go beyond that. She would have preferred to leave it alone but felt there was emptiness still in sight.

To repeat a sentence she had first made, she added, "It's simply been a bad day, nothing I can do about it."

Unexpectedly a tense face appeared on her, and a tear rolled down her cheek again, as if it could almost reach and touch my shoulder.

"I'm a German-Jew, did you know that?" She told me as if I didn't know she had already told me last night.

"Yaw, I know that Chris..." adding, "not sure what that means, I'm an American-Russian, with a little Irish in me," she tried to hold a laugh back, but it came out anyway--☻

Somehow the dark cloud that was developing disappeared. And a rose color came to her bronze face, with a light laugh still oozing out of her.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Thought I take you for a drive through town, and on to the cemetery, my grandmother is buried there and I want to visit her."

"Sure, let's go," I said, as she started her car back up.

As she drove I started noticing all the Volkswagens running through town, and the lights that hung on wires instead of poles like back home in St. Paul, Minnesota; I also noticed the towering clock in town, and the old police station, the Stadtwerke, with its soaring antique architecture.

"Look over to the left," commented Chris, "the Rathaus, it was once the biggest City Hall in all of Europe. It was built in 1620 AD."

I nodded my head and my eyebrows went up as if to be impressed: --but I had seen it before, not really knowing what the nine story structure was other than a big building that looked hundreds of years old, and the beautiful water fountain across the street from it. I had sat on its outer rim with a few of my GI buddies.

Augsburg was a military camp I had learned, in the year 15 BC, built by the Emperor Augustus. Funny, it still was today, that is a military city but with American soldiers. When I had first arrived in Augsburg during a briefing at the train station, this was brought out. It was a beautiful city, and old. I had always hoped to come to such an ancient place, with culture, and historical significance; and here I was, a wish come true.

7

The Potato Fields

The Cemetery

We seemed in the process of leaving the city limits, and no sooner had we left, Chris pulled the car over to the side of the street, looking at some potato fields, said:

"Well, shall we go visit the people?"

She started walking towards a tower.

"By the way," I said, "...who are the people?"

I was following behind her as she got out of the car and started walking into the semi-wet, somewhat dusty and lumpy fields of dirt, then she said:

"I like it here, yes, I think, I really think..." she hesitated, "...the sky is so blue, it's not going to rain: -- these are potato pickers Chick..."

I looked about and noticed several women picking or planting potatoes, perhaps both, it all looked strange to me, why were we here? I asked myself, but it was as comforting as it was strange. It told me she had a simple and commonplace side to her like me. We stood in the middle of the field for a minute or two, silent. There was something about this woman that I found very sympathetic. Ever since she had told me she was a Jew, and the tragedy of her family, I had taken an interest in her a little more or so it seemed, -- her openness was fresh. Yet I found we had a great bond growing, something common yet I couldn't name it, and not sure why I felt this way, she had been through more than me, yet I suspect it was spring to, you know, timing can play a big part in any event; I said to me, my impulsiveness that is, 'hay me, far from being excited about being on a second date I dealt with her bad news.' I added, '...hay me, I am proud.' It told me I was growing.

"What's the tower for?" I asked.

It was like an observation tower in the middle of the potato fields. Older women were picking and planting the potatoes all around us--more than I had notice before anyway, Chris explained the towers,

"...they are for the boss to see what is going on in his field, let's climb up one."

Cricket in Pakistan

British endowed sub-continent with new facades, and more than six decades later Cricket has proved to be enduring and eminent trait of this region today. Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, all were once part of British India and "The Gentleman's Game" found an unprecedented fan following and power source from these countries.

From Pakistan's viewpoint, Cricket is the most famous, well supported and followed game for people from all age and genders regardless of location, creed and language. Probably due to this aficionado level, cricket here has an excellent history, well-established administration structure and world-class support facilities.

Initially, Cricket was just an elite's sport. Landlords would gather to play an exhibition match as a hobby. It was natural that players belonging to such class would represent Pakistan in its debut Test match against India in 1952. For several ensuing decades, Cricket remained a rich man's sport until players belonging to lower class families begin to participate at international level. In addition to, a new One-Day cricket format proved to be very successful internationally. Staging of ODI (One-Day International) World Cup in 1988 in sub-continent sparked an interest in this game that continues today. Subsequent years saw an increase in public fascination as Pakistan performed exceptionally in all aspects of the game.

The fame, money and glamour attracted youngsters who in essence became a nursery of stars for the country. It is not uncommon for cricket players to be treated like royalty. Public, politicians, media etc all bestow there affection and attention at them. A national player can earn well over millions with endorsements only!

It is a fact that such discretion could not have come without Pakistan cricket team's superlative performance. Since there historical win against England in 1954, Team Pakistan has well evolved into a competitive outfit.

o Champions in 1992 ODI World Cup

o Champions in 2009 Twenty20 World Cup

o Semi-Finalists in 2009 Champions Trophy

o Champions in 2000 Asia Cup

o Champions in ALL Australasia Cups

o Champions in 1998 Asian Test Championship

Furthermore, Players themselves hold several world records as well.

o Hanif Muhammad has the honour of being the first Asian cricketer to score a triple century in 1958.

o Saeed Anwar has the highest individual ODI score of 194 runs (Against India in 1997).

o Sarfaraz Nawaz invented Reverse Swing.

o Shoaib Akhtar holds the distinction of being the fastest bowler in history (100.2mph/161.2kph in 2004).

Above all are concrete proofs of Pakistan's achievements.

Pakistan's Women cricket team is also active on the international scene since 1997.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) oversees the cricket matches and administration through out the country. It is a member of ICC.

Cricket in Pakistan is not merely a game. It is means of entertainment, earnings, diplomacy, and supremacy on archrivals and above all a source of pride and honour for the country.

Best Day Trips From Rome, Italy

When visiting Rome, Italy, travelers should follow the example of emperors and popes and see some of the surrounding countryside. Fuori parta (beyond the gate), as Ancient Romans noted, lie great treasures. The area surrounding Rome, the region of Lazio, is one of the most beautiful areas of Italy in its own right, and those who travel beyond Rome's city gates will surely be in for a special treat.

Ostia Antica
To the east of Rome (about a half hour by train) lies Ostia Antica, a site that is considered to be "the Pompeii of Rome." Once the ancient site of Rome's port, this area lost its importance when the course of the Tiber River changed, leaving it (some 2,000 years later) a sandy, muddy wasteland.

Founded in the 4th century BC, today it is little more than a site for excavated ruins. Travelers exploring Ostia Antica, however, can gain a better understanding of what life was like in ancient times by exploring the excavations and accompanying museum.

Among the items worth exploring at the site are the mosaic floors with Neptune and the sea goddess Amphitrite at the Terme di Nattuna (Baths of Neptune), the theater built by Agrippa (original creator of the Pantheon in Rome), and the Mithraeum, in which the balconies and walls of this building are decorated with symbols from the Cult of Mithras religion. Close to the ruins of Ostia Antica is the Medieval city of Castello della Rovere, which began in 1483.

Tivoli
Another spot worth journeying to on a day trip from Rome is Tivoli. In ancient times, Tivoli was the place where emperors went to escape the heat and misery of Roman life in the summer. Large palaces and villas were created, but by the Middle Ages, this area had largely been abandoned. It was rediscovered by the elite of the Catholic Church, those cardinals and popes with abundant wealth, who revived the area by building anew.

Today, Tivoli is a beautiful and vibrant area with stunning views and cascading waterfalls. Two jewels remain from ancient times, the Temple of Vesta and the ruins of the Sanctuary of the Sibyl. Most travelers who make the journey from Rome (via bus or train), however, come to see the Villa Adriana (Hadrian's Villa) or the Villa d'Este's fabled gardens.

Villa Adriana/Hadrian's Villa
One of the most accomplished of the Ancient Roman emperors, Hadrian rose to power in 1178 AD, and began a construction boom in Rome (and elsewhere) that was unrivaled. His villa at Tivoli was a masterpiece created by local artisans, which incorporated ideas from Hadrian's world travels. He much admired Hellenistic (Greek) culture. His vast estate in Tivoli was a conglomerate of baths, theaters, libraries, temples, open-air gymnasiums, and guest pavilions. The most famous element at the Villa Adriana is the Canopus, an artificial pool created to emulate a canal on the Nile. Those exploring the villa would do well, when visiting, to rent the audio tour (along with it, you will receive a complimentary map to help guide your tour of the area).

Villa d'Este
At Tivoli's center lies the Villa d'Este, built by a cardinal in the 16th century. While the villa itself isn't much to see today, the main reason for visiting this special spot are its gardens. To create these beautiful water gardens, the Aniene River was diverted, and the result is breathtaking. The gardens of the Villa d'Este are a masterpiece, with sun and shade, water and stone all working together to create a truly unforgettable experience. Perhaps the most romantic time to visit the gardens is on a summer evening, when the floodlit fountains work their magic.

Castelli Romani
Contrary to what their name might imply, the castelli are not castles, but rather charming towns and villages scattered throughout the Alban Hills, which (of course) aren't really "hills," but instead remnants of extinct volcanic activity.

These picturesque towns today are surrounded by olive groves, woods full of chestnut trees, and lovely vineyards, with accompanying wine cellars. Among those towns worth exploring are Frescati, with its Villa Aldonbrandini; Castelgandolfo, where the Pope summers (Villa Pontifica); Ariccia, with the beautiful Palazzo Chigi; and Nemi, the smallest but most beautiful of them all.

Whether one travels amongst the hill towns of the Castelli Romani or takes in the stunning villas of Tivoli or takes a step back in time at Ostia Antica, it's clear that little more than an hour outside Rome (and often less), there is a beautiful Italian countryside worth exploring. Rome is a hard city to leave, but a day trip outside the city is well worth the time away.

Blavatsky's Message and Teaching

Helena Petrovna Blavatsky's (HPB) task was to act as a messenger to bring the knowledge that there is a Divine Wisdom - Theo-sophia as the root and basis upon which all philosophies, sciences and religions are founded and which guides the cosmos, nature and human life.

This Divine Wisdom is variously known as the Ancient Wisdom, or Wisdom-Religion, or Esoteric Philosophy, or Perennial Philosophy, or Occult Science. All these terms allude to the fact that Theo-sophia is not a system of belief formulated by an individual, nor a religion in the ordinary meaning of the word denoting formalized worship and ritual; instead it is the accumulated wisdom of innumerable ages that has been systematically checked by generations of sages the world over.

What then is Occult Science?

It is a generic term referring to the Hermetic or Esoteric Sciences, which explore the essential, or hidden secrets of Nature - physical and psychic, mental and spiritual - rather than, but not excluding, Her outward appearance and mechanical behavior which Western science studies to virtual perfection.

For example, that Swedenborg came to the Occult teachings in his general conceptions is shown by his essay on the Vortical Theory.

HPB's message

As to the message that HPB brought: it is based on fundamental axioms formulated into three propositions that cannot be thought of independently from the whole, meaning that no aspect, no principle and no law can be properly considered in isolation: the Universe and all that is in it constitute a WHOLE.

Furthermore, it cannot be too strongly emphasized that these propositions are not the invention of HPB or anyone else. They form the basis of the presentation of the doctrines of the Divine Wisdom. Countless generations of sages have checked these doctrines by study as well as practical experience in a manner akin to the inductive method of science whereby a hypothesis put forward is checked by repeatable experiments and only when there is a sufficient corroboration between hypothesis and experimental verification is the former elevated to a theory.

In similar vein these sages have found the teachings enunciated to be in consonance with the overriding philosophy formulated by them. But it was HPB who synthesized the diverse and scattered fragments of this doctrine into a coherent system and body of knowledge made available for the first time to, and in a suitable idiom for, the Western world at large.

But it is as well to point out here HPB's counsel 'that no human-born doctrine, no creed, however sanctified by custom and antiquity, can compare in sacredness with the religion of Nature. The Key of Wisdom that unlocks the massive gates leading to the arcana of the innermost sanctuaries can be found hidden in her bosom only: and that bosom is in the countries pointed to by the great seer of the past century Emanuel Swedenborg. There lies the heart of nature, that shrine whence issued the early races of primeval Humanity, and which is the cradle of physical man'.

The Cards of Destiny have dealt humankind a jewel beyond price in HPB's message of spiritual uplift and universal brotherhood to be attained by a knowledge of the eternal verities of our existence. Have we used this sublime gift with gratitude, understanding and love? Who is to say? All spiritual teachers are but messengers. They proffer no initiations and perform no miracles at our behest. All that they can do is to say, with H. P.Blavatsky: 'I can tell you how to find Those who will show you the secret gateway that leads inward only, and closes fast behind the neophyte for evermore. For those who win onwards, there is reward past all telling: the power to bless and save humanity. For those who fail, there are other lives in which success may come.'

The Demise of the Entrepreneur

As the owner of a small, independent real estate company, I have seen the consolidation of numerous "mom and pop" real estate outfits into the behemoths that dominate the market today. While our society and government celebrate the small entrepreneur in principal, in actuality they do everything to eliminate us by their preferences and policies. In each and every way, the elites of big government, business and labor have striven to crush our individualism by enacting laws and regulations to make it harder and harder for the small business to exist.

This trend has accelerated under the past two administrations and has culminated in the recent health care and financial reform legislation. Instead of truly helping the individual citizen, these governmental fiats are nothing more that crony capitalism at its worst. The JP Morgans and Citibanks are no more reined in than they were before the crisis. Our health care system continues to be a money maker for the Aetnas and United Healthcares, and the public be damned.

Ron Paul, in his recent blog post, was absolutely right in calling the Obama administration Corporatist. They do not want socialism, which is the government owning the "means of production," but instead want those "means" owned by a few favored private corporations. These corporations, while nominally independent of the government, are highly dependent on the government to continue to maintain their favored position. This is crony capitalism to rival those of any corporatist state from Ancient Rome to Nazi Germany. Just like the Roman elite spoke eloquently about the virtues of the republic, our elite speak lovingly and wistfully about the family farmer while giving billions in subsidies to a few huge corporations growing unneeded crops like cane sugar.

Many of my friends are small business people. They are not inventors who created new industries such as Bill Gates did with Microsoft. These are men and women who twenty or thirty or forty years ago decided they did not want to work for large companies. Most of these people began in "mom and pop" shops to gain experience and then went on to open their own small businesses. From real estate offices to contracting firms to restaurants, the one common thread was being their own bosses and calling their own shots. But each of these people tell me that if they were starting out today, they just couldn't accomplish what they had previously. It is too hard to compete with the unions, the government and the big guys and be successful.

I am far from someone who doesn't believe in government regulation. What I do not believe in is the government sacrificing the economic well being of 98% of the population so that the big boys can continue to thrive. For example, instead of breaking up the big banks, it is allowing them to continue with the reckless behavior that brought about the recent crisis. A simple regulation that prohibited them from trading for themselves would go far to prevent the next crisis. What is wrong with having banks that are in the banking business and investment houses that are in the investment business?

The morally corrupt Congress continues to vote on legislation that they have not read and was mostly written by lobbyists. The administration continues to move us closer toward the collectivization of our economy. The rest of us become nothing more than cogs in their plans. Our politicians, from Obama to the local legislator, will praise that entrepreneurial spirit of America while doing everything to make that spirit as much an anachronism as the independent small farmer.

Burnt Generation of Iran

"Chapter 1 - Tears of Babylonia"

My name is Sepehr, an Iranian, Born to be discriminated.
I always ask myself, what is to be faithful?
Water is coming down, and you're shaky like a boat full of holes. What is faith? When you are walking on 2' of snow into the streets of Tehran and you will see a girl is running away, while 4 men in police uniforms are chasing her, you can hear her screams, you can hear angry people shouting and changing color, attacking those men and you can hear a gunshot, yes everything's suddenly quit, yes this is Iran, this is Tehran and I'm its citizen, and I'm looking for my ticket out of hell gate of extreme Islam.

I'm passing by a mosque, a young Basiji look at my shaved face and invites me to his house of wisdom, encourage me to connect my soul to Allah, their mosque is really a truth detector, you can look at their face when they are praying , feel and see that god is the last thing they are thinking about, I refuse, I never submit, I shall flee to America like my last prince fled to chine after the Islamic invasion of Persia.
I never submit. (Islam = Submission)

Trust me, Exile is dark, but it isn't all regret, disco, party and cry, it isn't all love, sex, drug and no missing the rainy days of my hometown, for an Iranian its darker, it's all darkness Since the day I was born in the mountains of Zagros, from a Kurd/Caspian mother and a Jewish/Zoroastrian father.

It's almost September, Americans are making themselves ready for a new president, a new face, after so many rumors, conflicts and passing redlines over having a woman and a black man as candidates, calling Obama Osama, picking on his middle name Hussain or bringing racial differences finally the world saw America is indeed a great nation and yes a black man is its final democratic candidate.

But right after Americans more than any other race or nation Iranians are desperate to see the result, for us it's not only 8 years of facing another American president, its facing our destiny, facing a new world It's me crying while McCain was singing bomb, bomb, bomb Iran, it's my mom staring at TV with wide open mouth while her favorite woman Hillary talked about Iran's obliteration. It's me staring at Obama's face like he is a winged Greek angel coming down to rescue the world from tyranny and chaos. So I told myself I have to write this, it's a message, a letter from the deepest part of my heart to my American brothers and sisters in this free country full of opportunities to not only make better things for itself but the whole world, one of few nations that my people amazingly trust in.

What is Faith? When you are walking into the sands of Yazd, under the sun? And ruins of an old fire-temple?

since we don't have a real president ourselves we always look at America as our bigger brother, it started when I was looking at the picture of shah beside JFK as a 10 years old kid, it had such a strong effect on me stronger than any brainwashing anti-American program broadcasted by IRIB! Son, that's JFK my father said, and he was a good man like shah, and he was killed too, well last generation of Iranians like my father believe shah was emotionally killed...and that was my moment, USA was the New Persian Empire, and well back for me as a 10 years old Clint Eastwood was its king, I had to go to America. Today almost more than a million Iranians are living in USA. After Iran, USA has the largest population of Iranian origin.

10 years passed, 9/11 happened, Iran is a state of inside conflict with ahmadinejad in power and humiliated 2nd of Khordad Movement therefore More Iranians started immigrating to west in the fear of another war. Finally big brother gave my family a gift, I received my green card after 13 years of wait, that's another story to write about but we flyed away from Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport To United state of America, the Neo-Persian Empire of my dreams and I whispered to the big picture of supreme leader ayatollah khameneii "we never submit".*

I never experienced freedom; democracy doesn't have any meaning or a true form to me, I never saw Mosadeq liberating the Iranian oil industry, I never saw those famous demonstrations against shah in Tehran street, I didn't vote for the Islamic republic and I never burnt an American flag and I never saw another civilian do it, I read about operation AJAX but it doesn't matter when half of my family are already Americans, what is important is that I already passed the red line when I was born, and that's to be Iranian, a 21th century Persian who has to answer for everything others do and did in the past. I have to answer but we as a whole have to face the destruction and that is sad. It's sad to see how bringing down a monarch and changing him with an Islamic fundamentalist turned the destiny of not only my country but millions of free people. In the fear of big boar the world turned to Ayatollah of death but in the end everything turned to be worse, central Asia became the live large scene of terrorism, war and conflict. Nations attacking and stabbing each other in the back, and finally hell broke loose and thousands died in 9/11. If you walk in the street of Tehran and talk with an Iranian, you only find one answer, the second Arab invasion or The Islamic Revolution of 79 backed by America against Russian domination.

Now it's time again, Iranians are looking at their big brother, America is really our big brother, when was the last time we chose our destiny? 14 centuries ago? So big brother hear us, we the Iranian youth trust in you, actually after all you done, we even love you, so please use this opportunity, help us and we help you and together we shall undo our mistakes.

Another war, another attack on Iran will make the Islamic republic stronger than ever. Some things never work on certain races; Iranians can't stand occupation or invasion. We are indeed living in a prison right now, with thousand of Osama wannabes and Palestinian Mercenaries marching in streets of Tehran with their new fancy labels such as Basij Of People beating up boys and girls in the name of the still uninvited Allah, and this is the best time to strike against this government of darkness with more sanctions and pressures.
There is a Persian saying "What is happening to us is from ourselves, shame on our race if we did not learn from our past".

I ask myself, what is happening to my people; my homeland maybe has a connection with our past, with my ancestor's deeds, but does it really? But If I believe in this how can I still worship a fair and powerful god? Everything I know about my ancestors is good and if not our land was far better than today's central Asian and Middle East desperate nations. Persia A super power nation ruling a vast empire not only once but more than a millennium. But it was finally brought on to its destruction by Muslim Arab invaders. We should learn now, before it's too late.

Cyrus the great my ancient father, the man who created the empire of light, attacked the Babylonian empire in 539 BC, brought down Nabonidus and created the largest empire in the ancient world, freed the Jews and rebuilt the temple of Israel in Jerusalem:
Thus says Yahweh to his anointed, to Cyrus, whom he has taken by his right hand to subdue nations before him and strip the loins of kings, to force gateways before him that their gates be closed no more: I will go before you leveling the heights. I will shatter the bronze gateways, smash the iron bars. I will give you the hidden treasures, the secret hoards, that you may know that I am Yahweh. (Isaiah 45:1-3)

Joining of two great nations, two faith groups resulted in what I'm today; they call us the Esther's children, Half Persian Zoroastrian Half Jewish by Blood, a Persian Jew...
King Xerxes gave up his whole corrupted army to free Esther and Persian Jews, I wish I was in that time, those honest days, god still was there, watching over our spirits. But when first wave of Muslims attacked us and killed millions of my countrymen, beheaded the Rostam Farrokhzad and assassinated my king Yazdgard III, our land was left alone to riot till this very day. President Ahmadinejad is the latest one to show the world how Muslims ruined a great culture into chaos, a man who wants to wipe out the world. His words are greave and pain for millions of my people. He was digging a grave for all of us; I had to get out of that place, I had to taste a little bit of freedom...

"Chapter 2 - Tasting Freedom"

It's a strange world, in a moment you can see yourself among your classmates and comrades marching on the streets near the famous Tehran University toward the infamous revolution Square yelling and shouting with all of our power against the arrests of our friends, a web logger, a Kurd journalist and a teacher while the regime agents are shooting smoke grenades, calling us traitors and American spies, I can feel the high amount of adrenaline pumping into my veins, my heart is ready to explode, how can I be a spy? What I want is really noting, what I want is one of the simplest needs of human being, I want to hold her hands and together seat in our favorite spot in a shiny day and talk about our daily life, I want to breathe, and I want to kiss her without hiding in the shade.

But that moment is gone.

Suddenly its July 2008, 3 years passed by like a second, it's so calm, not my streets, I can see myself on my way to delta college, this is Stockton, this is America, this is tasting freedom, but really? Is this it? All I can sense and hear is sepehr you are not welcome...
Statue of liberty, I love her, look like an angel, like Mithras the Persian goddess and she is finally looking after me...finally.

I saw this book at one of the famous chain store, by looking at the front cover, an Iranian girl covered in pink Hijab I already guessed half of the book, it was about an Iranian girl coming to America and how hard it was for her to taste the unlimited freedom, how it was hard for her to have new relationships and understand love, I was like telling the author what are you talking about? Disco? Sex? Throwing away the Hijab? That's what you think we Iranians are looking for? Honestly American media doesn't have a slightest idea about Iranian life. People forget soon, they just look at our last 30 years, they don't remember Googoosh, Queen Suraya, and shah, people confuse Iranians with Arabs or think Iranians are anti-Jewish, in fact Iran has the largest population of Mizrahi Jews after Israel in middle-east! We Iranians maybe have problems to face modernization but that's only a quarter of Iran. We already passed that issue, now it's a modernize us against an orthodox conservative extreme Islamic force that wants to shape us, turn us into a angry horde of zombies with no brain to just remain at power, in order to spread the idea into Iraq and even Lebanon, they want to stay in power like any other dictator did.
Almost more than a quarter of Iranians are living in Tehran and other large cities. People with their amazingly mixed part westernized part Islamic and part heavy Persian Zoroastrian culture, trying to get the best fun out of their lives. We maybe can't say things like down with khameneii out load but we whisper it in our tiny little coffee shops, smoke our sometimes rare but famous Kent light cigarettes and kiss at dark corners of wide and Wild Street of Tehran. It's part of our vampire life. Millions of hidden Satellite dishes are looking at the sky broadcasting Persian DJs and Rappers inside and aboard, and while thousands are at Friday prayer, boys and girls are kissing each other behind the trees cause all the guards are worshiping the ayatollah for now.

But it's amazing how the west and America is watching us, showing us and introducing us to the new generation. Every time I turn the TV on, and if, 1 to 100 there is a program about iran , it's an old villager guy from talking about how ahmadinejad is going to do better! Or it's our crowded moments of the old Tehran's bazaar, and if I get lucky! Sometimes I can even see the Friday prayers! What do you really think? You think they want change? Bazaar, Seriously? I haven't seen one program about millions of protests the Iranian students did and doing in their called normal daily educational life, under heavy beatings and the sky full of NAJA helicopters and tear gas. Who's asking my father? he was in SAVAK prison for years when he was a students but is against the Islamic republic since, whose asking my mom, interested in the left party, oh I asked her, more than 75% of her friends are dead. Come to shemiran, come to valieasr and see the horde of young people like me looking for you to show the truth of us to the world. Ask us and we tell you how many of us are ducked at home because we didn't vote for ahmadinejad therefore don't have the required stamp on our IDs to even try entering our favorite university. We tell you how we have to sneak in the shadow, pass the mosque and enter the church or our temple while we are worried to not get killed in the next second. Broadcast these and maybe the whole world sees that we never voted for the IRI, never asked for the free milk and don't want the atomic peaceful bomb!!! We want to have a little bit of freedom and I promise you, if we manage to do it, and somebody like Ahmad batebi becomes the president, Israel and America are the first we come to.
The American world has no idea what we make out of our daily life over there, we make rare moments, yes we can't hug each other and drown to each other in the public metro station, no we can't taste the freedom there, but we do it on the roof our homes, under the clear sky. We climb the Mount Damavand and read Hafez poets inside our tents and we dance over candles and drink our Shiraz wine in secrecy. We buy a T-shirt to wear it on the top of our "Los Angeles" tees in order to hide them.

Why people think the Islamic government cares if we French kiss or drink alcohol? Are universities students, young girls and women shouting and yelling for their rights to have bikinis on? Well of course that can be one of the reasons! The more drug or sex addict we become the easier is the ayatollah job or to remain at power, what the mullahs are afraid of is that Iranians are solely a free race, we are free souls looking for opportunities to rise, looking for answers, for success, for equal rights, I want to know why a rich land like Iran has lot of low class population since Qajar dynasty. Why every time we are hungry for reality the whole world make such a huge plan to stop us? It's like the movie Matrix, Yesterday it was oil and Mosadeq, then shah and his plans for a better Iran, and now after 30 years we are finally at that point again, millions of people are against the regime of Iran, we want or homeland back, hear us world, we are shouting, we don't want nuclear power, we want our own Freeland. Americans know the value and the meaning of that word "My own Freeland?" but no, there is no answer, the only answer I can hear is the sound of falcon engines ready to obliterate 70 million potential great allies to the free people of world, Israel and America.

I'm a college student, the only Iranian born student at my college, first time I tried to talk with an American, I was called a potential terrorist, and was reminded that FBI is watching me and how profiled I'm and was instructed to not try to gain Americans and specially his trust! That's very funny how the world looks like to some American youth, how paranoid they are toward new different races and how they think others are poor, lonely and desperate to be trusted by them. I believe in America. America is a symbol for me, it's not like I need its trust, I can be in Tehran and still believe in America like my father and grandpa, it's like believing in Persia, having faith in a system is totally different from being desperate to be loved by its people, I want to be loved and trusted by my own people first like anybody else but I believe Iranians, Americans and people of Israel are more fit to be lovers than any other nations historically and according to what I can say certain mutual benefits. It's a big mistake to not shown the reality of Iranian race and culture to American youth and ruining relationships between some generations by heavy themed commercial action flicks like 300 (west against east! Persia against Greeks, Iranians against Americans! 3000 years of conflict! As far as I know we Iranians are the only ones still proud of our ancient western roots), especially when a million or more Iranian-Americans are living in USA.

Why? I started to believe there is something wrong with the world, I really don't care about corrupted systems and blind politicians, since the Romans we had them, walking and talking by their code, but we always had the peasants, the lower class, and most of the time we commoners lived by honor, by truth, but not anymore, I started to sense that the majority of humans are ignorant and blind these days. My father used to tell me media themed religions and political views are Opium for the majority of population. They are made to put you in a place and make you busy with fear and paranoia, if that works on you, you lost your sense of humanity forever. That is what happening people are getting so lost that they are okay with nuking countries, blowing up buses full of babies and women and children because they think they are faithful. A million died in Iraq and when I ask people, what is this? They say this is the holy war, against whom? Saddam was Satan but he killed less than this in 20 years, we sure chose a wrong path. Why should I expect god to watch us over? He made us as one, he told us to be united and we didn't listen, and now we are left alone in this wild dark world, I don't want to force myself to believe, but sometimes I believe his creation has flaws, or maybe he isn't that powerful he is claiming to be.

I'm a Persian Jew, a mixed-race, by quantities rare, my father was born from a Jewish mother and a Zoroastrian father, a marriage similar to Queen Esther and King Xerxes, there are only 200000 or less of us living in this world, all killed by Alexander the great, by Muslim and their Islamic conquests over Persia and finally Genghis khan and his heir. Coming to America for me was like an opportunity to finally express myself, but...
To most Americans I'm just an Ey-Ranian or Ey-Raki, they don't even try to ask me which one I'm, who I'm, what I'm, it's funny and sad at the same time if you look at It this was I was considered as an infidel inside my own country because I didn't follow the Islamic rules and now in USA I'm considered as an outlaw or infected cause I'm from Iran! Sometimes I feel I should act like a priest, my father is a real one so I know how to, but also I want to yell: god are your there? Give me a rest, I lost my brother in the war, my parents divorced, I tried to live as a minority, as a Zoroastrian Jew in Iran, just kill me and get over it. no I don't want to be called an infidel anymore, I don't want to be called a desert kike or a potential terrorist, I just want to breathe and live, but then I think this is our destiny, I should say since the Islamic invasion over Persia (633-656) our people were persecuted by their rulers.

"Chapter 3 - Some Fish Can Fly"

When our last Shah left Iran with his illness and broken heart, I wasn't even born what I know is that Europeans and united states didn't want the left party to govern an important country like Iran, they were afraid of communism so much that accepted an extreme Islamic ruler to come after shah. Ayatollah Khomeini, the Imam of death we call him, of course he knew his homework, after few months of brainwashing the young generation and giving the hope of oil money for all families and free milk in the morning he bought the Iranians hearts. What he did after changed the history of mankind. He started a full scale Shia Islamic war against Muslims and non-Muslims; he started to talk about exporting Islam to other countries.

Indeed what is happening today in middle-east and central Asia is because we left the bad for worse, we kicked away a monarch for an extreme religious leader, for another dark age, why should god help us? We humans continue to forget soon, we don't appreciate our freedom.

Saddam and Hezbollah never had a chance to wake up and talk in the time of shah, beside his charming approach he was a man of wisdom, and that was his weak point, he started a new relationship with Israel, he left the Arabs for Afghanistan, Tajikistan and India and when they asked him why? He said Aryan (Indo-Iranian) brotherhood, he said that blue eyed people forget to easily they are drowned into their lives so much they can't see how messed up the future will be, but they didn't listen to him, they said he is creating another South Korea, another Japan, and worse he has oil, we don't want him, now is the time to get rid of him.

Islamic revolution was an opportunity for another dictator named Saddam Hussein, he thought himself as neo-Babylonian king, he wanted to avenge his father's defeat against the Aryans, the AJAM (Arabs call Persians the AJAMS means the mute, the one who learned the language from Arabs) and we the Iranian people.
Saddam had the support of many powerful countries like Germany, Russia and in the end united state. Germans liked shah, Germans always liked Iranians, in 1935 Reza shah Pahlavi changed the title of our country from Persia to Iran because Hitler said Iranians are the true Aryans of 19th century, it was an unfortunate event. Of course for my paternal Jewish family it wasn't a good sign, my grandfather started to act as a member of left party and for many years hid his true identity. It was continued in my family as a duty, my father hid his identity from the government of Iran and his friends, in the time of Islamic revolution my father was one of the leaders of freedom party movement, SAVAK (Shah's intelligence Agency) arrested him many times, he was a prisoner for 3 years, what is weird is after almost 30 years he is still favor shah to these Islamic monkeys and puppets of Iran.

Saddam told the world he is going to capture the capital in 2 days, he couldn't the war lasted for 2 years and then Saddam offered a treaty, the Arab world promised to pay billions in dollars for the damages of war and other benefits. People were happy, the capital was a ruin, and people were tired form daily bombardments.
West supported and sold the infamous or maybe famous poison gas (mostly sulfur mustard) to Saddam; he used it against the Iranians and Kurds. About 100,000 Iranian soldiers died from it including my 19 years old cousin. She was a nurse, a beautiful girl, an angel. I remember she gave me a Persian new year red fish we call them the little newroz fish (newruz: new day - the beginning of the new year in Persian/Kurdish/Tajik/Afghani calendar). Maybe it was a sign from god but I knew my beloved cousin is dead before anyone. the little fish was left on the carpet, that sign from god or not, helped me to start a fight with that voice in my head, I started to not listen to him anymore, after a while he stopped talking to me, I lost my faith, I lost my god, I guess in the end some fish can fly...
Ayatollah Khomeini didn't accept the offer; they advanced to the Iraqi lands. Iranian regime lost in the end. The theory of exporting Islam didn't work in that way, their imam Khomeini died and another generation of murderers and terrorists came to power.

"Last Chapter - whispering with the gods while Praying to Satan"

Why I lost my faith, my passion over my god, over my guardian Mithra and the lord Ahura Mazda?

I was 9 years old when my parents divorced, my brother died in the scary Evin prison not so far from our house without us knowing about it. My mother had a panic attack, my father had an affair, and our family was separated and dead.

My name is Sepehr, a potential Iranian-American, born to be free, and inside me there is an Emperor, an Emperor from the Empire of glory, power and in the end pain...Yes we are Persian, a burnt generation.

[i don't have enough space to publish the rest of this chapter so i will submit it later]
