While London can be seen as a huge sprawling metropolis, is home to some nice smaller communities as well. Here are five of the best of London 'villages'.

Primrose Hill

Home to many of the elite of London and a good part of the celebrity set of the city, Primrose Hill Village is a pleasant find in what is sometimes a huge city. A nice little gem 'of sandwiched between Camden Town, in the north and the vast Regents Park in the south, visitorsmay head to the top of the hill for a panoramic view of London and then wind down for a while 'lunch in one of the many coffee shops, cafes and restaurants along Regents Park Road.

Victoria Park

The East End soaring to the highest degrees of cold, the Victoria Park in Tower Hamlets has a beautiful green space for visitors, just on the edge of Bethnal Green and Hackney. The "village" is located on one side of the park, with shops,cafes, bars and restaurants, buzzing with people enjoying the scenery.

Notting Hill

Located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Notting Hill is a vibrant area of West London, is crowded with an eclectic mix of people and places. Visitors can walk from Notting Hill Gate down through the busy weekend market that sets up shop along Portobello Road. Hampstead

Home to some of the most expensive houses in the capital, awash with some of the most luxurious hotels in London, Hampstead village is an idyllic location at the bottom of the moor, near the chic enclave Belsize Park and St John's Wood. Soho

The epicenter of cultural and entertainment districts of Soho in London is a place that most visitors to the capital to try to see. Seductive for its quirky mix of bars, clubs, theaters and restaurants and the infamous red light district known as London. Located in the heart of the city, close to Oxford Street and Leicester Square,Soho is a must for a trip to London.
